June 22 - Storm Cloud

There have been a lot of storm clouds rolling through lately, but one of them rolled around on top of us for a while as the sun was setting.

Here's a picture of the cloud - the top is lit by the sunset, and the bottom is swirling around in a menacing way.

March 11 - Clay Pots and Fellows Lake

The winter was hard on the clay pots on our back deck - maybe it's time to get some new ones.





I also had a few minutes last night to take a few pictures of Fellows Lake right at sunset.

January 31 - Snow!

It snowed today! It started out slow, but continued to grow. This picture is the result of a long exposure taken well after dark (I had to use the porch light to focus). The camera was confused by the near darkness and set a very warm white balance. I could have corrected it, but I kind of like the warm feel, even though it's a very cold looking scene.

January 19 - Bonus Cat

We have somehow adopted a bonus outdoor cat named Starbuck (after a character in the new Battlestar Galactica series). Despite the fact that there is a 15 foot drop just beyond the rail, she sits here often. I think her expression is "Why haven't you fed me yet?"

December 21 - Happy Holidays!

This is a live Christmas tree we bought last year - it kind of looks neat with lights on a foggy night!
